One of the many fortunate aspects of living in a National Park like Banff is the opportunity to experience wildlife ; the Bow Valley Parkway on the way to Johnston Canyon is one of the most prolific places to see wildlife being in the desirable Montane Zone. Black bears and grizzly frequent the area and they are generally extremely consumed with the surrounding lush berries and vegetation for feeding in the spring or fall
